Impending Strike by Lynette Eason and Sami A。 Abrams continues the Eason’s Elite Guardian series。 In true Eason fashion， Abrams has crafted a novel that has plenty of twists and turns and surprise moments for the heroine and hero， which I LOVE in my suspense novels。 I need plenty of action and moments where I believe the characters are going to have something bad happen to them。 Being a romantic suspense novel， there is going to be some romance between the main character of Lizzie and Charlie。 T Impending Strike by Lynette Eason and Sami A。 Abrams continues the Eason’s Elite Guardian series。 In true Eason fashion， Abrams has crafted a novel that has plenty of twists and turns and surprise moments for the heroine and hero， which I LOVE in my suspense novels。 I need plenty of action and moments where I believe the characters are going to have something bad happen to them。 Being a romantic suspense novel， there is going to be some romance between the main character of Lizzie and Charlie。 The romance does take a roller coaster ride through their budding emotions。 Being one of the first novels that Abrams has written， this was a fabulous story to fit into the romantic suspense genre。 One of my favorite aspects of a suspense novel is the background or what the characters bring to the table when the story starts。 Abram does a wonderful job at crafting believable backgrounds for the characters and uses those hurts and flaws to deepen her characters。 Abrams definitely had a fabulous mentor through Lynette Eason and Sunrise Publishing。 Overall， Impending Strike by Sami A。 Abrams is a suspenseful novel worthy of the challenge of the genre with characters with depth and an overarching love story willing to keep any romantic suspense fan happy。 I received a complimentary copy of Impending Strike by Lynette Eason and Sami A。 Abrams by Sunrise Publishing through Sunrise Publishing， but the opinions stated are all my own。 。。。more

I love books that let you get into the heads and backstories of exciting characters， and Impending Strike does just that！ This latest Elite Guardian story keeps the action speeding past and the emotion running high as you fly through these pages。I really enjoyed the way that Sami pulled the backstory from both Lizzie and Charlie and made it super relevant to their here and now。 She kept their past experiences pertinent but kept the suspense high as she moved them towards new experiences professi I love books that let you get into the heads and backstories of exciting characters， and Impending Strike does just that！ This latest Elite Guardian story keeps the action speeding past and the emotion running high as you fly through these pages。I really enjoyed the way that Sami pulled the backstory from both Lizzie and Charlie and made it super relevant to their here and now。 She kept their past experiences pertinent but kept the suspense high as she moved them towards new experiences professionally。 This added a bit of an edge to the plot and made it even more fun to read。The spiritual lessons that both Charlie and Lizzie needed to learn were incorporated in fun ways。 It's too easy for us to look back and lump things together and draw assumptions， when in reality sometimes we need to use a wider lens - and sometimes we need to talk through our experiences with a mentor or friend。 Abrams draws attention to this in realistic ways - I love walking away from a fictional story feeling as though I've learned a good and relevant lesson。If the Elite Guardians are bookmates of yours - or if you're in need of a high-octane summer read - then give Impending Strike a try。 You'll be glad that you did。I received a complimentary copy of this book。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

Impending Strike by Sami Abrams is book 2 in the Elite Guardians Collection #2。 This books once again centers around the guardians as they do their bodyguard thing。 This time though， Lizzie Tremaine has become bodyguard to her partner Charlie Lee。 After helping Lizzie， Charlie enters back into his undercover role as a drug dealer。 While walking to his apartment， he hears a plot to kill someone and then he's almost beat to death。 When he comes to in the hospital， he realizes he has lost 4 years o Impending Strike by Sami Abrams is book 2 in the Elite Guardians Collection #2。 This books once again centers around the guardians as they do their bodyguard thing。 This time though， Lizzie Tremaine has become bodyguard to her partner Charlie Lee。 After helping Lizzie， Charlie enters back into his undercover role as a drug dealer。 While walking to his apartment， he hears a plot to kill someone and then he's almost beat to death。 When he comes to in the hospital， he realizes he has lost 4 years of his life。 He doesn't know Lizzie or even about the Elite Guardians。 He still thinks he is a cop。 Lizzie then becomes his bodyguard to keep him alive hoping his memory returns and they can figure out why he was beat up etc。 Of course， Lizzie and Charlie have feelings for each other。 Each of them have reasons why they can't be with other people。 It's a lot of secrets combined with guilt， trust， and forgiveness。 The question is can they deal with all their issues and realize they are meant to be together？ It's going to take a lot of faith to set things right。 Impending Strike was definitely a big hit with me。 I loved Lizzie and Charlie's story。 I loved their banter。 I loved their passion。 I loved how they trusted each other。 I also loved how they struggled to get past their issues and really needed to rely on God。 Lizzie assumed her choices in life killed the men she was involved with。 Charlie had fears he wasn't good enough。 They both were christians， but really needed to trust God。 I'm glad it had a happy ending！ And yes。。。it has an epilogue。 My favorite part of the book。 This story will take you on an emotional crazy ride。 You'll be laughing， on the edge-of-your seat， and crying the whole time。 It really pulls in all your emotions， but you'll leave the book with a smile （maybe a few tears， but happy tears） and you'll be wanting more。 Thankfully， book 3 is out next！Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for the book。 All opinions are my own！ 。。。more

Impending Strike by Lynette Eason and Sami A。 Abrams is book two in the Elite Guardians Collection。 This series follows Lynette Eason’s Elite Guardians series。 It is not necessary to read the other books but I did find myself wanting to refresh my memory on Always Watching （Book 2 in Elite Guardians） since that book is about Charlie’s sister Olivia。Bodyguard Lizzie Tremaine loves working with her partner Charlie Lee for Elite Guardians。 They have a solid friendship but are always flirting around Impending Strike by Lynette Eason and Sami A。 Abrams is book two in the Elite Guardians Collection。 This series follows Lynette Eason’s Elite Guardians series。 It is not necessary to read the other books but I did find myself wanting to refresh my memory on Always Watching （Book 2 in Elite Guardians） since that book is about Charlie’s sister Olivia。Bodyguard Lizzie Tremaine loves working with her partner Charlie Lee for Elite Guardians。 They have a solid friendship but are always flirting around turning it into something more。 As a single mom， Lizzie has lost every man she has ever loved and she is hesitant to open her heart again。 Charlie has been in love with Lizzie for years but is struggling with his own insecurities。When Charlie is seriously injured on an undercover assignment and loses the last four years of his memory， everything changes。 This may just be the chance they both needed to start over and find the love they’ve been waiting for。This book was action-packed right from the start。 The authors did an amazing job of layering the plot and building the relationships。 You’ll find yourself rooting for Charlie and Lizzie right from the start。 I loved how they used the amnesia to really build Charlie’s character and show just how much those four missing years had changed him。 The book has a solid underlying theme of learning to trust God as Lizzie struggles to see Him as loving and good when she has lost so much， even amidst much prayer。 Charlie too must overcome past hurts and misunderstanding as he learns to really open up to those around him。 I highly recommend this book。 It’s been an amazing series and I’m really looking forward to the next book。 I received an ARC copy of this book from the author/publisher and was not required to write a positive review。 All opinions expressed are mine。 。。。more

Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for this ARC。 I am leaving this review voluntarily。 I love the Elite Guardian Series。 I enjoy the strong， intelligent female characters with a mixture of protective male characters as well。 This book will draw you into the story immediately like a fish on a hook！ Lizzie is a single mom with commitment issues because of her fear of loss。 Charlie is just Charlie。 A man who seems to have commitment phobia issues which you will learn more about in the book。 （Things ar Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for this ARC。 I am leaving this review voluntarily。 I love the Elite Guardian Series。 I enjoy the strong， intelligent female characters with a mixture of protective male characters as well。 This book will draw you into the story immediately like a fish on a hook！ Lizzie is a single mom with commitment issues because of her fear of loss。 Charlie is just Charlie。 A man who seems to have commitment phobia issues which you will learn more about in the book。 （Things are not always what they appear。） The chemistry and attraction are definitely present for these two， but they have kept each other in the "friend" zone for so long。 Charlie is deep undercover when he is attacked。 He wakes in the hospital with some form of amnesia， and Lizzie is assigned to be his bodyguard and protector。 You will then start on a wild ride with gunfire， explosions and other accidents。 You will be gritting your teeth wondering what is going to happen next as there seems to be danger at every turn。 This has everything I enjoy in a romantic suspense with an inspirational message as well。 This is a story of forgiveness， trust and leaving the past in the past， but also learning from it。 There are some nail biting moments and the mystery is well plotted。 I thoroughly enjoyed this book。 Once you start reading it， you will not be able to put it down！ Find a chair and escape into the world of Elite Guardians！ 。。。more

Wow！ I was so impressed by this book！ The danger， action， and yes， the romance！ The characters are real and have relatable problems， the story is fast paced and keeps the reader turning the pages， and there are bits of humor that brighten some very tense situations！ The pacing of this story was spot on！ I really loved that Charlie and Lizzie were equally capable and intelligent and it really felt like a partnership。 Sorting out their feelings added depth to the story that made the romance believ Wow！ I was so impressed by this book！ The danger， action， and yes， the romance！ The characters are real and have relatable problems， the story is fast paced and keeps the reader turning the pages， and there are bits of humor that brighten some very tense situations！ The pacing of this story was spot on！ I really loved that Charlie and Lizzie were equally capable and intelligent and it really felt like a partnership。 Sorting out their feelings added depth to the story that made the romance believable。 Lizzie’s anxiety issue was something that made this tough and capable woman relatable to everyone and the faith thread was bold and one that is easy to identify with as a reader。 I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am totally hooked on continuing this series！ 。。。more
